Fun fact: I hate New Year’s Eve. I much prefer New Year’s day when everything feels fresh and new and exciting.
But New Year’s Eve… it’s the most disappointing holiday, EVER.
I don’t mean to be a cynic but I’m just not feelin’ it.
I’m always surrounded by my friends and boyfriend and I always end up having a fun night, but it’s one of those nights that NEVER goes according to plan.
Let’s take last year for example–I was supposed to go to a loft party downtown when literally days before a pipe burst in the apartment and we had to change locations–and with that, I had to change my dress (I’m not wearing a sequin party dress if I’m not at a swanky loft DUH).
With many NYE experiences gone wrong, I’m looking forward to not making ANY plans this year. Nick and I will be in Tennessee and who knows what we will end up doing. Restaurant? Bar? Home with champagne and the dogs? I don’t really care! I’m just looking forward to spending NYE with Nick and not having to stress about plans.
And not having to stress about plans means not having to stress about what I’m going to wear… but it’s always nice to have options :)
So moving away from the typical party/club scene for NYE, I also wanna move away from the typical sequin party dress theme. New plans = new, fun, and unique options to wear for whatever your night entails (all under $100!):
Crop Top – would look cool with leather pants
Blazer Dress – love this unexpected NYE color
Glitter Wrap Dress – if you’re on vaca for the New Year
Fringe Cardigan – obsessed with this unique piece
Faux Fur Jacket – with an all black look
